Louis was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Growing up, his life has always been chaotic and full of challenges. Although he has difficulties in communication, he was gifted with exceptional memory and talents. He started playing the violin and the piano at the age of four. He could transcribe an entire piece of music after hearing it once. However, it is through painting, in which Louis found his emotional outlet. Louis wrote, "I am autistic, yet I experience the same emotions as others. People think I don’t feel anything, but frustration and sadness affect me just as much. Through painting and poetry, I am able to not only express myself so people can understand me, but also to show my love for the world. He always composes a poem along with each painting to tell the story.
