Devansh Maurya is an 18-year old artist. He was diagnosed with severe autism when he was 2 years and 6 months old. Since then he has been taught mainly by his mother who left her career for her son. He was educated for a few years in mainstream curricula till he left school altogether in 2018. Since then, he has been home-schooled and his mother has focused on turning him into an independent adult.

Upon exploring extensively, it was discovered that he had a natural inclination towards art. He started playing with colors on canvas when he was 8 years old. He is just given some acrylic paints and a canvas sheet. In the next few hours, he poured his art out onto the canvas, taking all the colors of his choice and trying to express his feelings and put his world on a piece of canvas. He creates beautiful artwork while trying to express his feelings. As a non-verbal person, art is the only way in which he can truly communicate. Music has also been an indispensable part of his life, and he is also a budding pianist. Art is his true sole comfort.
